Composer, Media Artist, Sound Designer

My portfolio is driven by three areas of specialization which I hope to explore further in graduate studies:

  1. Integrating sonic and musical arts into the broader context of media installations (e.g. Treehugger, Listeners as Spectators)

  2. Integrating new hardware, firmware and software into media arts (e.g. machine learning in Thallus, generative tools in BOTSOT)

  3. Finding the importance of media arts within disciplines not traditionally associated with these forms (e.g. Truss, POS)

I believe my creative output has provided me with the experience to further develop these principles at a graduate level, and will provide a platform for exciting developments in the years to come. The high calibre of educators and output of the Department of Media Study is inspiring, and the ability to be a part of this unmatched environment of research would be the opportunity of a lifetime.
