Treehugger is an interactive installation based on the act of a simple hug of a tree. Every hug produces a unique unique fingerprint of light and sound, linked to the user through the unique characteristics of each hug. The tree becomes an interactive installation that delivers a vibrant audiovisual display, bringing together different forms of software and hardware, along with the individual control of over 5000 LED pixels.

Treehugger was created for Vivid Sydney 2016 and commissioned by Destination NSW. It was displayed as part of Vivid Light Walk in June 2016.
